About Us

The company started on Atkinson Ave, Otahuhu in 1990 where we rented the workshop behind a service station. In 1993 we bought a property further down Atkinson Ave, which is where we are today. We have been in business in Otahuhu for over 35 years.

The workshop was small but we gradually built on to the building to make it more workable. In 2007 we built an extra 200 sq metre workshop in front and attached it to the old workshop. This really moved us ahead — it looked more professional and more visual from the road. We added extra hoists and equipment to expand our service capabilities.

Phil's experience started back in the 1970s, with an apprenticeship in East Tamaki — a farming area where they worked on a big range of vehicles, cars, trucks and farm equipment. Phil left there fully qualified and went to work in Sydney, specialising in Automatic Transmissions. Returning to NZ, Phil then specialised in Tuning for many years.

Alex has been with the company for over 11 years and is now in partnership with Phil and Karen. Alex previously worked for a Fleet company specialising in Mobile Fleet Servicing, mainly for police vehicles. Alex has broadened his motor trade knowledge by taking on and excelling in auto electrical.

Together Alex and Phil have over 60 years experience in the Motor Trade.
